Baptism into Salvation

1 John 5:7-8 - For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the Blood; and these three agree as one.

In verse 8 the Sprit speaks of the Spirit baptism, and the Water speaks of Water baptism, and the Blood speaks of Salvation baptism
1. When we get baptized into the body of Christ, we are born again, this is salvation.
2. When we get baptized in water, we confess that we died in Christ and being raised with Christ.
3. When we get baptized in the Holy Spirit, we get power to walk in the new life and be a witness for Christ.

Baptism into Salvation is Baptism into the body of Christ and the Holy Spirit is doing the baptizing, it is a gift of salvation, through repentance and the new birth. Called "one baptism" in Ephesians 4:5, because it is the only baptism that saves us and brings us into the body of Christ.

Ephesians 4:4-6 - There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Galatians 3:27 - For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Romans 6:3 - Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?

1 Corinthians 12:13 - For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.

Mark 16:15-17 - And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues;

Acts 2:38-39 - Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."

Looking at the Greek translation, we see that there is a difference between the Holy Spirit in(G1722) us and the Holy Spirit upon(G1909) us

The Holy Spirit in(G1722) us which is a filling of the Holy Spirit with salvation and it always comes with the Baptism into the body of Christ. The Holy Spirit baptized us, He immersed us into the body of Christ.

Romans 8:9 - But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in(G1722) you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

1 Corinthians 3:16 - Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in(G1722) you?

2 Corinthians 1:22 - who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in(G1722) our hearts as a guarantee.

The Holy Spirit is a Gift promised by Jesus and given by the Father.

We all received the Gift of the Holy Spirit with Salvation. We have received the Holy Spirit with everything He has. All nine gifts of the Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit, praying in the Spirit, praying in tongues, everything the Spirit has, we received in one "package".

What we wrongly learned about receiving the Holy Spirit and receiving the gift of praying in tongues at one time after salvation when someone pray for us, is not Scriptural.

When someone pray with us and we started to pray in unknown tongues, what really happened, the gift of praying in tongues, a gift of the Holy Spirit inside(G1722) of us was "stirred up" and by faith we just started to use the gift that was already inside(G1722) us.

It is not something new we received from the Holy Spirit, we already have everything of the Holy Spirit inside(G1722) us. The Holy Spirit does not come to us in "pieces" or "instalments". The day of our salvation, the Holy Spirit came in His fullness and He lives inside(G1722) of us.

We have to "unlearn" what we have wrongly learned and started to study the Word of God for ourselves and believe what we read in the Word.

Acts 16:31-33 - So they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household." Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the NIGHT and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized.

Notice it was NIGHT when "the keeper of the prison" and his family "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ", in other words they received salvation and they were all baptized into the body of Christ and received the Holy Spirit. It was NIGHT and they were not baptized in water in the night.

Acts 18:7-8 - And he departed from there and entered the house of a certain man named Justus, one who worshiped God, whose house was next door to the synagogue. Then Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his household. And many of the Corinthians, hearing, believed and were baptized.

Acts 19:3-6 - And he said to them, "Into what then were you baptized?" So they said, "Into John's baptism." Then Paul said, "John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus." When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon(G1909) them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.

Paul said to the people that they need to be baptized in the Name of Jesus, in other words being baptized into Christ, into the body of Christ, into salvation. When they got saved they received the Holy Spirit and when Paul laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit inside(G1722) of them got "stirred up" and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. Because the gift of tongues and prophecy was already inside(G1722) of them.

Acts 22:15-16 - For you will be His witness to all men of what you have seen and heard. And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.'

The water baptism do not wash away our sins, the Blood of Jesus does.

Therefore in Acts 22 above it spoke about salvation, the baptism into the body of Christ.

Acts 8:12, 14-17 - But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized. Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit. For as yet He had fallen upon(G1909) none of them. They had only been baptized in(G1722) the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

When the people believed the gospel when Philip preached to them, they got saved, baptized into Christ, into the body of Christ, they received the Holy Spirit inside(G1722) of them. Peter and John went to them and after they laid hands on them, the received the Holy Spirit upon(G1909) them, which is a separate experience.

This happens with salvation, the Holy Spirit baptized which mean He immersed us into Christ and into His body.

What is the difference between the Spiritual Fountain and Spiritual River.

Fountain is the new birth into everlasting life.

John 4:14 - but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in(G1722) him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life."

River is the Spirit upon(G1909) us whom cause the Spirit in(G1722) us to flow out of us.

John 7:38 - He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."

In this verse Heart is the Greek word κοιλια which mean belly, the innermost part of a man

John 14:17 - "the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in(G1722) you.
