Excellence in Ministry requires dedication.
Dedication opens the way for God's power to work in our lives and our Ministries. We have to make a quality decision and with the help of God we will never violate or never turn back from our decision to have a Ministry of Excellence.
When we make the commitment of dedication to God and His Word, nothing will be able to change our stand of faith.
Dedicate and Commit ourselves to:
1. Let God be First
God is before all things and holds everything in our lives together. Anything or anyone who occupies first place in our heart-including our career, family or marriage-is idolatry. When God is first in our lives, we don't have to fear what man will do to us. God must be in first place if He is to lead and guide us. We will be able to tell what our priorities are by how we spend our time, what we talk about and what we think about.
Matthew 6:33 - But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
2. Abide in God through Fellowship
Abiding, or resting in confidence in God, means fellowshipping with Him through prayer and reading and studying His Word. By doing it, we build our faith in His ability to do great things in our lives. The Father delights in drawing near to us when we draw near to Him in our personal relationship with Him.
Hebrews 4:16 - Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in good time for every need.
3. Declare our True Identity in God.
Our lives should be a reflection of God's goodness. We are carefully and wonderfully made in God's image. From our appearance to our character, we represent God. We have to get our attitude toward life in line with His Word. When we identify with the beautiful image of His Word we will increase from glory to glory.
2 Corinthians 3:18 - But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
4. Develop Confidence in God
When we pray with confidence and faith-filled prayers which lines up with the Word of God, results are guaranteed. Faith-filled prayers connect us with the supernatural power of God. We have to humble ourselves, pray continually and turn from wickedness.
John 5:14-15 - Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
5. Experience the Peace of God
The Word of God says we have a covenant of peace with God (Isaiah 54:10; Ezekiel 34:25; 37:26). With this covenant we have the promise which guarantees our empowerment to prosper in the areas of health, family and finances. God's perfect will is that we excel in every area of life. We have the peace of God. There is nothing missing or broken in my life.
Colossians 3:15 - And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.
Philippians 4:7 - and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:14 - 14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,
6. Hear from God
We must have a "hearing heart". Then we will be empowered to prosper and excel by every word we hear from the Father's heart. We will be established in righteousness and the gates of hell will not prevail against us. We can ask God speak to us concerning what we need to do to live for Him and experience the reality of His blessings in our lives. When we obey the Word of the Lord His Word will always comes to pass in our lives. We can hear His voice clearly and obey immediately because we are His sheep and He is our Shepherd.
John 10:27 - My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
7. Know the Will of God
By the renewing of the mind by God's Word, we can know His perfect will for our lives. His purpose for us includes total life prosperity. God has a specific purpose for each of our lives. We have to allow the Holy Spirit to lead us into our purpose and plan for our lives as God ordained it before hand. God has anointed us to do what He purposes us to do. We can with confidence receive God's anointing on our lives.
Romans 12:2 - And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
8. Walk in Love
Every principle, law and prophetic word hangs on the love of God. When we see that the promises of God do not work in our lives, it is time to examine our love walk. The only way God can tough the world with love is through the love we allow to flow through us from God to them. God's love is poured out in our hearts therefore we have the capacity to love in the same manner as He does. The only way the world will recognize us as Believers, is the "mark of love" which we should display as the Church. We all want to walk in the Spirit, and the only way is by walking in love. The law of love includes loving your enemies and doing good to those who hate and curse you, or speak negatively about you. We must deny self, follow God's instructions and abandon our own plans to experience the power that accompanies the God link of love.
Matthew 5:44 - But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.
Luke 17:33 - Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.
9. Live by Faith
Faith and fear operate by the same principles. Faith and fear both come by hearing (Romans 10:17). Faith comes by hearing God's words and fear comes by hearing the devil's words. When faith is present, then God has access to your life. Faith will connect us to everything that is under the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, such as health, prosperity, deliverance and eternal life
Hebrews 11:6 - But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Romans 10:17 - So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
10. Walk in Character
The type of character we develop will determine our destiny. Jesus came so that we might have an abundant, full and overflowing life.
John 10:10 - The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance to the full, till it overflows.
An abundant life is part of our destiny, but to ensure that we receive it, we must develop the character of Christ. Character is doing what's right, because it's right, and doing it right no matter how we feel. In order to know what's right, we must know the Word. Good character involves doing what's right so others can prosper. We create character with every choice we make. Every day is an opportunity to demonstrate the type of character that we have. Be cause Daniel demonstrated godly character in his diet, motives, honesty, discipline, integrity, convictions and loyalty, he experienced promotion and prosperity. (Daniel 2:48)
We have to take time to get before God and in His Word. Then we must stay and rest in the Lord until the Holy Spirit and the Word of God birth the willingness to dedicate ourselves to the Lord and to commit to that. We must never allow the enemy to deceive us by making us think that being in the Will of God is "expensive". The most costly thing for us is being out of the Will of God.
