The Enemy's Weapon in my hand

While living in Israel, many times the enemy came against us and then we did not know what to do. Because the enemy, we all know, works through people and knowing that we went to Israel to stand with God's people, the Jews, it was difficult to handle attacks from the enemy that came through the Jews.

Example: To be in Israel you have to have a valid visa. To get it, is a total "nerve wrecking" experience. At the office where one has to go to get it, we normally were intimidated by their way of speaking. The way they "play" with words. They had one line and we knew that, when they would want to play for time, they always said: "Come back after two weeks." These two weeks than become months and we could do nothing about it because they are in control in that offices and what they say is "law".

The Lord said to me to use the enemy's "weapon" against him. I searched for an example in the Word. The Holy Spirit led me to 1 Samuel 21:8-9. :8 " . . . Is there not here on hand a spear or a sword? . . . " :9 "So the priest said, 'The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in the Valley of Elah, there it is, wrapped in a cloth behind the Ephod. .' . . And David said, there is none like it, give it to me."

So here the Lord said to me to take the enemy's weapon and use it against him. I had to use "words" against the intimidation. But there is a very important lesson in this. Goliath's sword was wrapped in a cloth (covered) and behind the Ephod. This led to a Bible study concerning the "covering" - Anointing, and the "Ephod". (Ex. 28 - Holy Garments).

The Holy Spirit also led me back to where David killed Goliath (1 Sam.17). In :45 " . . . You came to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the Name of the Lord . . . "

In conclusion: The Lord said use the enemy's weapon against him, but first cover it with My anointing and I will declare it holy. To came back to the example of the visas and the people working in that offices, the Lord said to us when you go to the office for your visas, use the weapon that the enemy tried to use against you. Just say: "I come in the Name of the Lord". We had the victory because we use the words that God instructed us to use. In the same way David defeated Goliath with that words in his mouth.
