      2. tithes of tithes for Priests. Numbers 18:26, Nehemiah 10:37, Nehemiah 12:44

      3. tithes of tithes every 3 years for the poor and the ministets. Deuteronomy 14:27-29, Deuteronomy 26:12-14

    7. If exchanged. Both it and tge exchanged must be paid. Leviticus 27:33

  3. Tithing in the New Testament

      What Jesus said about tithing:

    1. Matthew 23:23, Luke 11:42 compare Matthew 5:20 with Luke 18:11-12, see Matthew 10:10, Luke 10:7-8 this was teaching for the kingdom of heaven Matthew 11:11-14, Luke 16:16

      1. Even though Jesus "spoke" about tithing, we should still "rightly dividing the word of truth" - 2 Timothy 2:15. We should be "diligent to present yourself approved to God"/"Study to shew thyself approved unto God".

      2. Jesus spoke in Matthew 23:23 - "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faith. These you ought to have done, without leaving the others undone".

      3. Jesus did not teach the people about tithing, clearly they already knew about it. He was addressing the Scribes and Pharisees, calling them hypocrites because they legalistically brought their tithes, but they neglected "justice and mercy and faith".

      4. When Jesus spoke to the Scribes and Pharisees in Matthew 23:23 and Luke 11: 42, He did not die on the cross or raised from the dead yet. It was still "Old Testament people" under the Law.

      5. The Church was born when Jesus raised from the dead and even though all that is written in the Bible is for the Church, not all is about the Church. How we the Church should live, and is about the Church is found in the Letters written by Paul and others.

      6. Thus, anything in the Gospels about "tithing" was spoken by Hebrews (Jesus was a Hebrew) to the Hebrews under the Law.

    2. Paul said about offering, which often been used to "teach" about tithing:

      1. Condemned sacrilege [desecration](violation or misuse of what is regarded as sacred)
Romans 2:22 - You who say, "Do not commit adultery," do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? Then to make a connection to tithing, Malachi 3:8-10 and Leviticus 27 will be used.

      2. The teaching about "teachers should be paid". Even though it is Scriptural that teachers, pastors and ministers being paid by the Church's offerings , we should "rightly dividing the word of truth" and seek at lease two witnesses in the Word of God that this Scripture is speaking about "tithing".
Galatians 6:6 - Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.
2 Corinthians 13:1 - This will be the third time I am coming to you. "By the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall be established."

      3. God ordained support of ministers 1 Corinthians 9:7-14, 1 Timothy 6:17-18
1 Corinthians 9:7-14 and 1 Timothy 6:17-18 speaks about giving offerings, not paying tithes.

      4. Christians to give as God prospers them 1 Corinthians 16:2
1 Corinthians 16:2 - On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come.
Again this Scripture speaks about giving offerings, not paying tithes.

      5. Melchisedec Priesthood is eternal and must be supported by children of Abraham.
Hebrews 6:20 - where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
Hebrews 7:1-11, 17 & 21 This Scripture is explaining about Melchizedek and Jesus that came after the order of Melchizedek. Even though the fact that tithing is also discuss in the portion, the importance of the "story" is about Jesus our High Priest and not the tithing. If it was about the tithing, we should find a "second witness" about it.

      6. Children of Abraham in faith must walk in his steps.
Romans 4:12 - and the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of the faith which our father Abraham had while still uncircumcised. - This Scripture can not be use to proof tithing. Abraham's faith was not only tithing, there is more to it.

      7. Tithing is proof of obedience and appreciation of God's blessings
All Scriptures such us Romans 4:12, Hebrews 7:6-10, 1 Corinthians 9:7-14, 1 Timothy 6:17-18, compare Malachi 3:8-10 with Proverbs 3:9-10, Genesis 14:20, Deuteronomy 8:10-20 are used out of context if used to proof that tithing is "being taught" by Paul. Paul taught about offerings, and much more that just offerings.

    Blessings of Tithing.

    1. Blessing for obefience (see above)

    2. God's house will not want Malachi 3:10

    3. God's ministers will not want 1 Corinthians 9:7-14, 1 Timothy 5:17-18, Nehemiah 13:10, Malachi 3:8-10

    4. Material and spiritual blessings Malachi 3:8-10, Proverbs 3:9-10, 2 Chronicles 31, Nehemiah 13

    Examples of paying Tithes.
    1. Abraham Genesis 14:20, Hebrews 7:1-11

    2. Jacob Genesis 28:22

    3. Levi in Abraham Hebrews 7:9

    4. Hezekiah and Israel 2 Chronicle 31

    5. Nehemiah and Israel Nehemiah 13

    6. Hypocrites Matthew 23:23, Luke 11:42, Luke 18:12
All above are Old Testament people under the Law who were commanded to pay their tithes.

    7. Christians 1 Corinthians 9:7-14, 1 Corinthians 16:2, 2 Corinthians 7:11, 2 Corinthians 8:1-15, Galatians 6:6, 1 Timothy 5:17-18, Hebrews 7
All Scriptures above to prove that Christians pay tithes, are taught incorrectly, as it is all about offerings.

    In conclusion:
To begin with, I speak to myself first as I taught incorrectly about tithing. I myself was a hypocrite, bringing myself and God's people under a curse as I "intentionally as well as unintentionally" justified myself by my works, and I stepped back under the Law. That granted the devil the legal right to afflict us with the curse. I legalistically brought tithes before God.

Galatians 3:10 - For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them."

Any effort on our own to obtain righteousness can actually bring us under this curse.

Now let us look at Job. He gave the devil legal right to accused him before God and the devil had legal right to do to him what he did.
Job 1:5 - So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, "It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts." Thus Job did regularly.
Job burnt offerings just in case his children sinned. He act out of fear and he legalistically brought offerings with an attitude of "doing the right thing just in case".

I made myself guilty to this as I tithed and taught people to tithe and even make sure to give over and above 10% just to be on the save side to not rob God.

So with that said, I do not say, let us stop giving. No surely not. The Scripture is clear about giving and to make sure that those who labor under us should live from what we give. But let us "rightly dividing the word of truth" and give as the Holy Spirit lead us and let us do everything in faith. And remember what Jesus said.

Acts 20:35 - "I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' "
